Transylvania
In the winter of 2002, I got my first assignment from Powder magazine to ski in Romania with Gordy Phifer, Chris Winter, and the late MC Constantinasu. Mythic stories and visuals made for a great cultural adventure throughout the Transylvanian Alps. Castles, dark forests, beautiful architecture, and wonderful people made this much more than a ski trip. It was a trip back in time and into a story of a different way of looking at skiing.
