Hailing from the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Blake Jorgenson headed west at the young age of 17 in search of adventure in the mountains of British Columbia. He landed in Whistler, where his creative instincts and his love of the outdoors found the ideal outlet in the world of action- and adventure-sport photography. With a strong artistic vision and an ability to keep up to the athletes he was shooting, Jorgenson rose to become one of the most recognized names in the industry, earning an extensive editorial catalogue and a client list of major industry players such as Red Bull, Oakley, The North Face, Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear, Rossignol, Columbia Sports and Eddie Bauer, as well as the Vancouver-Whistler 2010 Winter Olympic Games and the Vancouver Canucks NHL club. In recent years, Jorgenson has expanded his reach to work with commercial automotive and recreational product brands such as Acura, Alfa Romeo, Mastercraft, Honda Motorcycles, Mercedes Benz, Mazda, and Dodge Ram trucks. Now with 20 years of professional experience, he continues to draw on his action-adventure roots to create a distinct and dynamic aesthetic as he goes forward.
